In 2024, franchising demonstrated resilience and adaptability, remaining an attractive growth model despite economic challenges. Key trends included increasing interest from business owners exploring franchising, as evidenced by strong participation in masterclasses and franchise exhibitions. The UK franchise market showed robust growth, with nearly 90% of franchisees profitable and franchisors optimistic about the future.

The industry showcased diversity, with new franchises spanning trail running, HR services, gelato parlours, and more. Lifestyle-driven franchises gained prominence, reflecting a shift toward flexible, work-life balance-oriented business models. Technology played a vital role in enhancing operations, while mobile-based, low-investment services gained traction.

Looking ahead, 2025 is poised for further expansion, with new brands entering the market across various sectors. Face-to-face connections and networking are expected to remain vital as the franchising landscape continues to thrive.
