The Sausage Sitter was born from a deep affection for all dogs, with a special fondness for Dachshunds. They offer customised home boarding services tailored specifically for Dachshunds, complemented by thrilling adventures designed for dogs of all breeds.

Founded by devoted dog enthusiasts Steve and Nikki Beer, they quickly established a secure, reliable, and enjoyable setting for both the boarding facility and the adventure aspect of the business.

In 2022, Steve initiated discussions with Ashtons about franchising the business. Consultant Rob Hall joined in later that year to work with Steve on the franchise development program. By the summer of 2023, The Sausage Sitter franchise was officially launched.
