TaxAssist Accountants are a true testament to the power of franchising! Founded in 1995 as a one location business, the company now boasts over 400 accounting practices in the UK, Ireland, and Australia the US and Canada.

The first TaxAssist Accountants franchise was awarded in 1996 and they have not looked back. Aside from expansion in terms of locations, they have consistently won industry awards year on year. They are particularly proud of being awarded ‘5 Star Franchisee Satisfaction’ from WorkBuzz 11 years in a row.

Ashtons Franchise Consulting worked with the brand in the early days to help launch the franchise and continues to hold a great relationship with them to this day. In fact, Chief Executive and Director (until 2022) Karl Sandall is now part of the Ashtons consultancy team! Karl was instrumental in leading a franchisee assisted management buyout deal – meaning that TaxAssist are the only franchisor in the UK, possibly globally, where the majority of ownership rests with its franchisees.
