PGH Beegone

PGH Beegone is a pest control and live bee removal company that caters to both residential and commercial properties. They have gained a reputation for their ability to effectively resolve pest issues that have proven challenging for others.

The business is proudly environmentally friendly. The Beegone motto is “Save Bees, Save the World” and PGH (Pest Control) motto is “Passionate about reducing insecticide and pesticide use.”

PGH Pest Control was started in 2008 by Peter Higgs, after he had gained a distinction in the pest control section of a national qualification in game keeping. In 2009 he secured a place on the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Scheme which gave him the skills to develop the business. During this time he started ‘Beegone’ – after he learned about the threat to honeybees and the importance of saving them.

Over time Peter impressively developed the business and started to employ staff – he even met the queen when he was invited to London to show Beegone’s work at the 40^th birthday of the Prince’s Trust!

Demand became such that in 2020 Peter contacted Ashtons to help him franchise the business. He had watched a video of then managing consultant Nick Williams’ seminar on YouTube and liked what he saw. Ashtons Franchise consultant Phil Mowat worked closely with Peter on the franchise development and manual.
