Trading since 1992 and franchised in 2005, the CeX franchise empire is a force to be reckoned with in technology and entertainment retail.

Short for Complete Entertainment Exchange, Cex specialises in buying, selling, and trading a wide range of entertainment and technology products, including video games, DVDs, Blu-rays, electronics, mobile phones, laptops, and more. It has survived various recessions and uncertain periods and at the time of writing (September 2023) has 392 stores in the UK , 278 of which are franchised locations!

Ashtons worked with CeX to get the franchise model up and running. Growth following the franchise launch was quite significant –  it had 25 stores in 2006 and that had jumped to 169 by 2012. Roll forward to 2023 and they now have an impressive 618 stores worldwide!
